For the first release on Telemedical I reached out to one of my best friends, Matthew Soko, for the inaugural release. It has been idea of mine to start a label for sometime. Through experiences with the Slit Throats/Blading/Violeer/Moral Failing tour this year, the Wrecking Crew shows, and Static series, I decided to start one as a way to support friends and artists. Matt’s Violeer project has been an inspiration of mine for several years now, both in the brutality of his live sets and in the deeply personal nature of his recordings. This tape is a bit of an extension from his last release Heretic. Here we have slow, measured, and miserable electronics with menacing spoken word pieces as well as one familiar cover and a short track recalling his live sets. It is my pleasure to support Matt and the Ohio scene with this release. There are 10 copies remaining on Bandcamp. Matt will have some available over the next few days as well.

sounds that occur in a concentrated space
after words lose their meaning
and ashes take their place
a matte black plate
where true love
left its stain
and everything was safe
and nothing remained
